Fioretto Polenta Flour
Polenta is a typical dish of the ancient peasant tradition of the Bergamo region and here at Molino Nicoli we have been making it since 1869. In agriculture, a more than a hundred-year-old experience of cultivating maize has created a tradition that is not to be forgotten. In order to make our FIORETTO POLENTA, at Molino Nicoli we select and use maize that comes exclusively from our controlled agricultural supply chain. This means that our maize has been cultivated here in Italy, contains no GMO-ingredients and is gluten free. Our maize is dried at low temperatures only, a process that makes it possible to maintain the original nutritional properties of the kernel. In order to make this specific type of polenta flour which distinguishes itself for having very fine grain size, it is necessary to use a special grinding method. The result is very fine polenta flour, a favourite dish of the Veneto region. Our FIORETTO POLENTA is sold in traditional 1kg paper bags.
